Maurice & Nora

Not just anyone gets to work for Maurice & Nora. And that is exactly the point.

You do not let just anyone into your parents' home, your children's home or your own. That is why we thoroughly screen every student before they can take on a single assignment, and why we keep following up on quality after every visit.

  • 4,500+ screened students
  • 4,000+ telephone application interviews
  • Insurance always included

An application that takes effort

Every student starts with a detailed application: motivation, experience, CV. We dig into what they have already done (babysitting, cooking, garden work, companionship, …) and where and when they can work.

This is deliberately not a two-minute form. Anyone who is not all in already drops out here.

A student who ticks "experience with children" also tells us concretely where that experience comes from: years of babysitting nearby, working as a playground animator, or growing up with a younger sibling.

A thorough screening conversation - equally deep for everyone

Every candidate then has a personal screening conversation of 20 to 30 minutes. Not a standard questionnaire: the interview is prepared from their own application, with targeted questions about experience, responsibility and real situations.

To be clear: this conversation is run by our smart voice assistant. That means it is available 24/7 (a student can also call in the evening after class) and every candidate gets exactly the same thorough interview, without rush. Our team then reviews every conversation. More than 4,000 candidates have already gone through it.

"Imagine: you are at an elderly woman's home and she suddenly says she does not feel well. You are alone with her. What do you do?" We are not looking for a perfect textbook answer: we want to hear that someone stays calm, takes responsibility and knows when calling for help matters more than solving it alone.

Every student who visits you has first gone through our selection and our team.
